Growing up, Dennis had a passion for all sports and the team atmosphere. At a young age, his passion and competitive nature was used to help him run the Fox Cities Marathon while still in elementary school. He completed two full 26.2-mile marathons before he completed the 6th grade.

His passion for competition turned into a love for coaching. Dennis started helping coach basketball at his local elementary school while he was still in middle school and he coached throughout high school. He continues to coach youth athletics. 

Dennis has always kept his community close to his heart including during his time volunteering at the Salvation Army and helping those in need. He also is an emerging leader for United Way of the Fox Cities. 

His character and nature served as inspiration behind the creation of The Slayer Sunset Showdown in August 2023. Through sports, Dennis is convinced the world can be a better place and lives can be changed in the most positive ways. 

Sports aside, Dennis and his wife Samantha have been married for 9 years and have two children, Jackson, 8, and Amelia, 6.

Throughout his life, Nick has always been involved in sports. In his playing days, Nick was a leader on the court and achieved many awards. He played basketball for the Xavier program in his freshman and sophomore year of high school before transferring to Appleton North for junior and senior year.

In his 20s, Nick attended an open tryout for the NBA D-League and his passion for sports continued. He later graduated college with a Bachelors in Business Management from Colorado State University Global Campus. His degree paved the path for his future career as an entrepreneur; he owns and operates Slayer Pest Control, a small business that services the Fox Valley area.

Nick has sponsored the Slayer Pest Control youth baseball team and is a proud and dedicated assistant coach. The coaches, Nick, and their families came together and formed the first inaugural Slayer Sunset Showdown youth baseball charity tournament and raised nearly $10,000 for local charities. Nick is excited to continue to bring communities together and give back through sports.

Always at his side are his biggest fans; his wife Brittany, and their two children, Dominic, 9, and Olivia, 6.
